You searched “Turo payout,” “when do Turo hosts get paid,” “Turo Stripe,” or “first Turo payout.” Stripe initiates the deposit. Your bank finishes it. The first completed trip is slower than later ones. A payout is not profit — subtraction is a different page.

The short answer
Turo’s Getting paid page for US hosts:
If this page and Turo’s site disagree, believe Turo. This is not legal advice and not a promise your bank will post on a given day.
Who actually sends the money
Turo’s Getting paid page for US hosts says you must enter your bank information in Stripe to set up direct deposit. The same page says Stripe initiates payout, and that Turo has no ability to alter Stripe’s processing time or that of your bank.
Do not write “Turo initiates” as if Turo is the bank. Help’s verb is Stripe. If bank details are missing, there is nothing to initiate. Put the routing and account in Stripe before the first trip ends — not after you start refreshing Earnings.
This page will not invent a Stripe fee, a Turo payout fee, or a same-day option. Help does not print those numbers on that article.
| When Stripe initiates | Then the bank | |
|---|---|---|
| First completed trip | Typically three business days after a trip ends | Additional three to five business days as a direct deposit |
| Subsequent trips | Three hours after the trip ends | Same bank window — three to five business days after initiation |
| Trip lasting more than a week | Partial payout every seven days until the trip has ended and you’ve received all your earnings | Each initiated payout still waits on the bank |
| Two trips ending the same day | Stripe issues no more than one payout a day and may combine them | One deposit, not two missing ones |
From Turo’s Getting paid | US hosts Help. Clocks start when the trip ends, not when it starts. Turo can change these numbers — check your listing. This is not legal advice.
First trip
Help’s first-trip line is specific: Stripe typically initiates payout three business days after a trip ends. “Typically” is Turo’s word. Business days skip weekends and US bank holidays. The trip has to be completed — an open first booking is not a payout clock.
After that first completed trip, subsequent trips move to three hours after the trip ends. That is after end, not three hours after start. Do not quote a forum “30-day first-pay hold.” It is not on this Help article.
The first-trip flow — license, photos, handoff — is on First booking to first review. If you used a lockbox, bag the lockbox fob when the car is back so a boxed key cannot wake the car. That is not the payout clock.
Week-plus trips
If the trip lasts more than a week, Stripe initiates a partial payout every seven days until the trip has ended, and you’ve received all your earnings. Each slice still has to clear the bank’s three to five business days after Stripe initiates it.
Do not treat a partial as the whole trip. Do not treat the last slice as late if the trip is still running. Help’s stop condition is: the trip has ended and you’ve received all your earnings.
One payout a day
Stripe issues no more than one payout a day and may combine payout for multiple trips into a single payout. If Saturday and Sunday both ended, Monday’s deposit can be both. Earnings in the app and the bank line will not always be one-to-one.
That is not Turo “holding” a trip. Confirm the live Help article before you open a ticket about a missing second deposit the same day.
The bank window
Once payout has been initiated, your bank will take an additional three to five business days to verify and process the payout as a direct deposit. Add that to Stripe’s initiate clock:
Turo has no ability to alter Stripe’s processing time or that of your bank. A support chat cannot make Tuesday’s ACH post on Tuesday. If the initiate date is in Earnings and the bank is still inside five business days, wait on the bank.

Payout is not profit
When the ACH lands, it is still a share of trip price. It does not subtract the loan, the insurance you buy, cleaning, or downtime. That subtraction is on The money after the trip. A 1099-K, when Turo issues one, is a different pile — Do I pay taxes renting out my car?.
The homepage calculator is for that take-home math. Do not type Stripe’s deposit into it as if the deposit were profit.
Five questions
Trip type, payout schedule, and your bank’s processing time are all factors. Enter bank information in Stripe for direct deposit. First completed trip: Stripe typically initiates three business days after a trip ends. Subsequent trips: three hours after the trip ends. Trips lasting more than a week: partial payout every seven days until the trip has ended and you’ve received all your earnings. Then the bank takes three to five more business days. Turo cannot alter Stripe or the bank. Confirm Turo’s Getting paid page for US hosts.

Host share still has to cover depreciation, cleaning, parking, and the days the car sits. A 1099 is a later problem. Occupancy in the calculator is still an example so you can change it.
