Turo guest no-show — guest didn’t show up, host earnings, how to report

You searched “Turo guest no-show,” “guest didn’t show up Turo,” “Turo no show host earnings,” or “how to report a no-show on Turo.” Stay in the app. Give them 15 minutes to reply. In the US, wait two hours past start, then report. You have 72 hours. Partial earnings only if you followed the steps.

First trip/ Guest no-show/ Host cancel/ Guides

The short answer

Stay in the app. 15-minute response. US wait two hours. Report inside 72 hours.

Turo’s page about guest no-shows: if a guest doesn’t cancel or show at the scheduled start, contact them in Turo messaging as soon as you realize they’re running late. Tell them they’re at risk of being reported as a no-show. Let them know they have two hours (US and Canada) or 30 minutes (Australia, France, and the UK) past scheduled start to pick up before they’re considered a no-show. If you can wait longer, say so and do your best to accommodate. Give them 15 minutes to respond.

You report through Get help → AI assistant → ask for an agent. US and Canada: no earlier than two hours after scheduled start. You must report within 72 hours of scheduled trip start. Follow those steps and Turo cancels the trip and issues partial earnings. Skip the steps, or miss 72 hours, and Turo says they won’t pay.

If this page and Turo’s site disagree, believe Turo. This is not legal advice and not a promise Turo will pay every empty stall.

Still in the lot

The running-late note is the job. A text thread is not a report.

Write it in Turo. “You’re running late. You’re at risk of a no-show. In the US you have two hours past start. I can wait until [time]. Please reply here.” Then wait the 15 minutes Turo named. Do not move them to your personal number so you can “handle it faster.” Coverage and the report live in the product.

If they answer inside 15 minutes with an arrival still inside the two-hour window, meet that time if you can. If they answer with a time outside the window and you cannot wait, that is one of the two report paths Turo printed. If they never answer, that is the other. You do not invent a third path in iMessage.

If they already canceled in the app, that is not a no-show — Turo guest cancel. Airport stalls and delivery windows are a separate page — Turo airport delivery. A delayed flight is not an automatic no-show. Turo expects a good-faith effort to reschedule; if you cannot agree, you call Turo to report a guest no-show. That walk is on Turo host cancel.

When you can report

You messaged as soon as they were late. Then one of two things.

From Turo’s guest-no-show page, contact customer support to report a guest as a no-show if:

US and Canada: report no earlier than two hours after scheduled start. Outside the US and Canada on that article: no earlier than 30 minutes. Outer clock: 72 hours from scheduled trip start. Get help → AI assistant → agent.

Wrong person, or no license

Do not hand over the car. Do not leave a lockbox live.

Turo’s guest-no-show page splits this from “they never arrived.”

You may cancel during license confirmation if:

  • the guest doesn’t upload a license for a remote check-in and you’re unable to meet them in person
  • the guest arrives in person with no license or an invalid license

That cancel during confirmation is not the same clock as a host cancel you tap because the weekend got inconvenient — Turo host cancel is you ending a booked trip. The license sequence itself is on First trip.

If you have confirmed the license and the primary sends anyone else to pick up — even an approved additional driver — do not give them the vehicle. Report a guest no-show within 72 hours of scheduled start. Pickup by the wrong person is on Turo unauthorized driver.

A remote code is still the primary’s code. Do not text it to a spouse in the lot. Do not leave the box live for an unconfirmed guest, or for someone who is not the primary. Lockbox order — license first, then the code — is on How Turo lockbox pickup works. If a spare fob is sitting in the box, bag it so a boxed key cannot wake the car.

You cancel is not they no-showed. Host no-show is a third thing. If you fail to show, Turo’s host-fees page names a $150 US host no-show fee. That is Turo host cancel, not this page. Do not mix those dollars with guest-no-show earnings.

Turo no-show host earnings

Partial, if you followed the steps. Nothing, if you skipped them or missed 72 hours.

Turo’s guest-no-show page: if you follow the reporting guidelines, Turo cancels the trip and issues partial earnings based on trip type and scheduled duration. They will not pay if you report without following the guidelines, or if you fail to report within 72 hours of scheduled start.

Turo’s page about violation fees for hosts: unreported guest no-show — removal of trip earnings if a guest doesn’t show up and you don’t report the no-show and collect earnings instead. Reporting is how you keep the partial. Sitting on a completed trip you never handed over is how Turo takes it back.

Turo’s note on the no-show article: exceptions may apply for flight delays or cancellations, safety issues tied to vehicle cleanliness, or other extenuating circumstances. Confirm live Help. This is not a promise.

An example, not a Turo payout

Use $60 to see the formula. Do not quote it as what Turo pays.

The homepage calculator starts with example numbers so you can change them: $60/day, 50% occupancy, $500 fixed, $25/trip, a $60 maintenance reserve, 80% Balanced. A guest no-show is not occupancy. It does not turn 50% into a better month. Do not bake a made-up no-show dollar into that $60.

Turo’s “one day’s average trip price” is Turo’s number, not your listing rate. If you want the shape of the short-trip formula on this site’s example rate: 75% of $60 is $45, then an 80% Balanced share is $36. That $36 is math on the example rate, not a Turo payout promise. Change the $60. Confirm live Help.

Longer than two days, same caveat: your share of two days’ average. On the example numbers, 2 × $60 × 80% = $96 — still this site’s sketch, not Turo’s forecast. Half of any delivery fee is a separate line; how you set that fee is on Turo airport delivery.

What this page will not do

No curb confrontation. No invented payout. No lockbox left live.

Five questions

FAQ

What happens if a guest doesn’t show up on Turo?

Message them in Turo as soon as you realize they’re late. Tell them they’re at risk of a no-show, that they have two hours past start in the US (30 minutes in Australia, France, and the UK), and give them 15 minutes to reply. Then report through Get help → agent, no earlier than two hours in the US, within 72 hours of start. Confirm Turo’s page about guest no-shows.

How do I report a no-show on Turo?

Stay in the app first. You can report if you messaged as soon as they were late and they didn’t respond in 15 minutes, or they replied with an arrival outside the window and you cannot wait. Get help → AI assistant → agent. US: no earlier than two hours after start. Must report within 72 hours of scheduled start.

How long do I wait to report a Turo guest no-show?

US and Canada: two hours past scheduled start before they’re a no-show, and you report no earlier than those two hours. Outside the US and Canada on Turo’s article: 30 minutes. 15 minutes to respond to your message. Outer deadline: 72 hours from scheduled start. Miss it and Turo says they won’t pay. Clocks can change.

What are Turo guest no-show host earnings?

If you followed the steps: your share of 75% of one day’s average trip price on trips two days or shorter, or your share of two days’ average on longer trips, plus half of any delivery fee. Skip the guidelines or miss 72 hours: no earnings. Unreported no-show can mean Turo removes trip earnings. Amounts can change. Do not treat a $60 calculator example as a Turo payout.

What if someone else shows up to pick up my Turo?

Do not hand over the car. If you already confirmed the license and the primary sends anyone else — even an approved additional driver — report a guest no-show within 72 hours. If they never uploaded a license and you cannot meet, you may cancel during license confirmation. Do not leave a lockbox live. Wrong person at pickup: Turo unauthorized driver.

The rest of the pack

The $19 kit is the “you’re running late / stay in the app” message, not a no-show service.

24 guest notes, including the running-late note and a please-stay-in-the-app line. The report still happens in Turo.
