Add or change
Turo’s listing-photos guide: to add or change vehicle listing photos, open Vehicles and choose the vehicle. Tap or click Photos. Tap Edit in the top right (in the app) or click Add photos at the bottom of the page (on the web).
Your listing must have at least one photo. If you have only one photo and you want to replace it, upload a second photo and then delete the first one. That is Help’s sequence. This page will not invent a “replace in place” button Turo does not print.
How many
Three live Help articles, same floor:
When you update a listing in a way that changes ranking score, Turo says it can take up to five minutes for the system to process the change. If you cannot find the car in search after a photo dump, wait those minutes before you assume the listing is broken. Visibility Help also names other ranking pieces — delivery, pricing, ratings, calendar — on that same article. Photos are one input, not a ranking cheat code.
Live Help as of August 21, 2026 does not print a photo maximum. This page will not invent a cap, and it will not invent a photography-program booking-boost number Help does not print.
Named angles
Turo’s listing-photos guide: walk around your vehicle and take at least 10 photos from the angles shown, capturing both the interior and the exterior.
That is twelve named angles. “At least 10” is the floor, not a reason to skip the trunk. Help’s tip on the same article: photograph any Extras you offer — coolers, child safety seats, tents, or other gear. If you do not offer it, do not photograph a borrowed car seat and list it.
US listing Help adds: if you are a business operating on Turo, consider including facility or portfolio photos. A first-time host with one personal car is not that case. Do not upload a stock dealership showroom.
Wash the car first. Pull mail, garage remotes, and a lived-in trunk bin if it looks sloppy. The listing is the first review.
Crop and light
Turo’s listing-photos guide: Turo automatically crops your images by about 20% when you upload them. Take five steps back to shoot an image every time. That extra space is how the bumper and the roof stay in the frame after the crop. A tight hero shot on your phone is how the listing shows a cropped hood.
Clear, well-lit photos — phone or camera. Help’s tip: shoot in the morning or evening, when the light is softer and more consistent. Midday glare on a dark paint is how a clean car looks dusty. Do not treat a filter as lighting.
Prohibited
Turo’s listing-photos guide: Turo may restrict your vehicle listing for including any of the following in your photos:
Same article, named exception: Turo does permit hosts to cover their license plate information in their listing photos. Covering the plate is allowed. A black bar across the whole windshield, a watermark, or a “AVAILABLE ON [other app]” sticker is not the plate exception.

What not to write on the listing
US listing Help, in the same “create your listing” block as the photo line: don’t share your phone number, address, links to your social media accounts, or other personal information in the vehicle listing. Don’t mention fees, deposits, or restrictions not supported by Turo and the Terms of service.
The photos and the description are the same listing. A plate cover in a photo does not make a phone number in the bio safe. Off-platform deposits are still off-platform deposits. How the rest of the listing is written is on How to list without looking like a first-timer.
If guests will pick the car up from a lockbox, bag the lockbox fob so a boxed key cannot wake the car. Pickup order is still license, then the code — Turo lockbox pickup.
