Turo unlist — snooze vs unlist vs delete a listing

You searched “Turo unlist,” “how to unlist my car on Turo,” “Turo snooze listing,” or “delete Turo listing.” Taking the car out of search is a listing status. Canceling a booked trip is a different button. Delete is permanent.

Turo can change these numbers — check your listing.

Listing/ How to list/ Unlist/ Host cancel

The short answer

Snooze if you know the return date. Unlist if you do not. Delete only if you are done.

Turo’s page about snoozing or unlisting a vehicle: snooze or unlist to make the vehicle unavailable for an extended or undetermined period of time. While it is snoozed or unlisted, guests cannot book new trips. You remain responsible for trips already booked.

Turo’s page about deleting a vehicle: deleting is a permanent action. If you only need the car off search for a while, snooze or unlist instead. There is no limit to how long you can leave a listing in Unlisted status.

If this page and Turo’s site disagree, believe Turo. This is not legal advice.

Three different jobs. Do not merge them. This page is listing status — snooze, unlist, or delete — before someone books a new trip. A booked trip you cannot fulfill is a host cancel, not an unlist. If you cannot meet cleanliness between trips, snooze or unlist rather than cancel — Turo cleaning.

Snooze

Defined period. You pick the date. Turo relists it for you.

Turo’s snooze-or-unlist Help: change the status to Snoozed when you need the car out of search for an extended but defined period. Vacation with a return date. A shop week you already scheduled. A month you will drive the car yourself and then list again.

Path: Host menu → Vehicles → open the listing → scroll to the bottom → change status to Snoozed. Choose the date you want the vehicle available again. Turo’s system automatically relists it on that date.

New guests cannot book it while it is snoozed. Anyone already on the calendar still gets the car. If a booked trip sits inside the snooze window, that is still your trip to fulfill — or a host cancel if you cannot.

Unlist

Uncertain return. You relist it yourself when you are ready.

Same Help article: change the status to Unlisted when you need the car out of search for an extended period and you are uncertain when you can make it available again. The engine light that has no estimate. A family month with no end date. You are not ready to delete the listing, and you do not want Turo to auto-relist you on a date you guessed.

Path: Host menu → Vehicles → open the listing → scroll to the bottom → change status to Unlisted. Choose your reason and tap or click Unlist my vehicle.

When you are ready to accept new trips, return to that screen and change the status to Listed. Help does not print a maximum unlist duration. The delete article says there is no limit to how long you can leave Unlisted.

Side by side

Snooze, unlist, and delete are not the same button.

Snooze Unlist Delete

Trips already booked You remain responsible You remain responsible Finish them, or cancel them, first

Delete

Permanent. Prefer snooze or unlist if you might list this car again.

Turo’s deleting-a-vehicle Help opens with that line. Deleting a vehicle is a permanent action. If you need to temporarily remove the car from Turo, snooze or unlist it instead. You control when it is available again. There is no limit to how long you can leave Unlisted.

Before you can delete: wait until all booked trips have been completed, or cancel all upcoming trips. Canceling those trips is the host-cancel walk — fees, automated review, metrics — on Turo host cancel. Do not delete to dodge a booked weekend. Unlist does not cancel that weekend either.

How to delete

App taps the status. Web uses Edit. Both ask why, and both warn you.

Transfer

You cannot hand the listing to another host. They start over.

Turo’s deleting-a-vehicle FAQ: you are not able to transfer a vehicle listing from your account to another host’s account. Each listing is tied to the specific host account that created it.

To make the car available to another host, delete the listing from your account — that is still a permanent action. The other host then creates a new listing from their own account with their own photos, description, and pricing. Your reviews, your calendar history, and your photos do not move. How a first listing is built is on How to list. Photos — at least 10, no stock — are on Turo listing photos.

A booked trip is not an unlist. If someone already booked and you cannot hand over the car, that is a host cancel: you cancel in the product, the guest is refunded in full, and Turo’s US host fee is currently $25 more than 24 hours before start or $50 inside 24 hours unless Turo excuses it. Walk: Turo host cancel. If the cabin will not meet cleanliness, snooze or unlist before the next booking lands — Turo cleaning — rather than taking the $50 dirty-car host cancel at check-in.

The car while it sits

Off search is not off your driveway. Bag the lockbox fob.

Snooze and unlist stop new bookings. They do not move the car, empty the lockbox, or cancel the trips already on the calendar. If guests pick up from a lockbox and the box stays on the car while it sits, bag the lockbox fob so a boxed key cannot wake the car. Pickup order when you relist is still license, then the code — Turo lockbox pickup.

Unlisted days are empty days. The homepage calculator still starts with example numbers so you can change them: $60/day, 50% occupancy, $500 fixed, $25/trip, a $60 maintenance reserve, 80% Balanced. Those are planning numbers, not a Turo unlist fee — Help does not print one — and not occupancy you keep while the listing is off search.

What this page will not do

No host-cancel fees here. No transfer. No invented unlist clock.

Turo can change these numbers — check your listing. This is not legal advice.

The rest of the pack

The $19 kit is the 14-day checklist (including when to snooze), not an unlist service.
