Turo custom delivery and home delivery

Home is where the car lives on the listing. A guest who books home pickup comes to that pin. Turo’s trip-costs page: a delivery fee is what some hosts charge for dropping off and picking up at a location somewhere other than the vehicle’s home location. If they booked home, there is no delivery fee on that trip unless they later add delivery through Turo.

Point-of-interest pins are the named places you turn on — hotels, train stations, airports. Turo’s ceiling is 10. Change a vehicle’s fee with the pencil on Vehicles → Settings → Locations. You can group vehicles onto the same POI.

Custom delivery is the guest’s address, as long as it sits inside the radius you set. Turo’s guest selecting-pickup page: when they search an address, Turo shows cars at and near that location. The “Pickup Option” filter splits those two. Guests cannot pick one location for pickup and a different one for return at booking. After booking, they can request a change — including a custom pin inside your radius.

Do not set the car’s home location, or a custom delivery location, on airport property. Turo: if you do, and Turo has a delivery permit there, it will trigger an airport delivery fee for the guest. That is how a “home” listing becomes an airport trip without anyone meaning to. Airport delivery has its own permitted lots — Turo airport delivery.

• Keep: 90% of the delivery fee you set, regardless of host share. Same extras cut as on Turo extras. Not Balanced 80% of trip price.
• Covers: drop-off and pickup. One fee, both ends.
• Ceiling: the maximum allowed at that location. Turo does not print one dollar amount that applies everywhere. Open the listing editor. Do not copy a forum “standard.”
• Free delivery: allowed. You can also offer free delivery only when the trip meets a minimum length Turo lists: two days, three days, four days, five days, six days, one week, or two weeks or more.

Turo’s guest selecting-pickup page: if you charge a delivery fee, it is calculated into the daily price and included in the trip total. Guests must never pay a host directly for delivering a vehicle. Off-platform payment is Turo’s Gray market transaction policy.

Turo’s page about requests to change drop-off or pickup location (host-facing): guests can request a pickup and return change, including adding or removing delivery, before the trip starts. Once the trip is in progress they can request a return-location change. The new location has to be one you already list, or a custom location inside your set delivery radius.

If a guest texts “can you just bring it to my Airbnb,” send them back into the app. Turo: tell them they must submit the request through Turo. Guest Help: open the trip, tap Change trip. If you do not respond or you decline, they pick up and return at the originally booked location.

Turo’s three outcomes, copied:

• Automatic: the vehicle is not restricted or unlisted, the calendar is open, and there is no conflict with your settings at that location. Turo’s example: eight-hour notice when you require three hours for delivery locations.
• Sent to you: the vehicle is unavailable or restricted, or the request conflicts with your settings. Turo’s example: one-day notice when you require two days for delivery locations.
• Not allowed: unavailable, unlisted, restricted, or a conflict with your trip buffer at that location. The guest cannot submit the request.

Earnings. Add or remove delivery and Turo adds or removes the delivery fee you set for that location. If Turo already charged the guest, it adjusts your earnings. If the guest changes only one delivery location, the new delivery fee is 50% of the original location’s fee and 50% of the new location’s fee. Guest Help says the same 50 / 50 split for a return-only change.

Turo’s Offering delivery page, prohibited charges:

• Do not charge guests the cost of fuel to deliver a vehicle.
• Do not charge or request reimbursement for any parking fee you pay to pick the car up after the trip ends.
• Do not ask guests to pay for delivery outside of Turo, or to pay for parking via a third-party link.

You may not ask a guest for a ride home from a delivery. You may not deliver to an airport where delivery restrictions are in place. You must deliver to the location you listed. You cannot ask guests to travel to, use, or pay for transportation to a vehicle location outside your listed delivery location, and you cannot offer to cover, reimburse, or arrange that travel.

Failure to deliver to the listed pin is Turo’s vehicle location misrepresentation policy. Turo’s host violation-fees page: $100 per location-misrepresentation violation, plus possible loss of that trip’s earnings, possible removal, and possible voiding of the protection tied to your earnings plan. Gray-market payment: $150 plus liquidated damages of $5,500 as in the Terms. Those amounts can change.

Parking the guest pays to enter or exit still has to be disclosed. Turo’s Offering delivery page: if they must pay to enter or exit, say so and make it clear which of you pays. Guest selecting-pickup: if they are responsible, you must message them in Turo immediately after they book. Skip that message and they can save the receipt and contact Turo. Parking is not the delivery fee.

Coverage on the drive is not the trip. Turo’s Offering delivery page: US hosts receive third-party liability coverage when delivering a vehicle at check-in only. France hosts, UK hosts, and Canada hosts in British Columbia receive no liability or physical damage coverage during any part of the delivery period on that page. Confirm the live article for your market before treating the drive as “on Turo.”

The homepage calculator starts with example numbers so they can be changed: $60/day, 50% occupancy, $500 fixed, $25/trip, a $60 maintenance reserve, 80% Balanced. The $25 is not a Turo delivery fee and not parking at the guest’s garage.

If custom delivery is on, keep the 90% cut on a scrap line next to extras. Then subtract the hours and the miles the crow did not drive. If the sheet is already red at $60 and half occupancy, a 20-mile hotel pin will not make it green. Subtraction is on Money.
